Nice performance compare to 1070TI, and probably much better power usage Wink

There is a complete analysis of GPUs including these card 1660ti and 2060 so I think much better to check them here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/rvn-gpu-roi-mining-analysis-updated-5135665

RX 470 are only good for ETH and Monero mining other coins is not worth it to mine with RX470.

Ohw... $100 each rx470 is pretty cheap what shop or where you can buy this card with that price? I can't find Rx470 with that price here in my country.
They are at our German suppliers. As the GPU's was to much manufactured in bull market, and nobody was buying trough out 2018. Most of them just want to get rid of even at loos. But this wont be for long till demand will start increase again if it keeps going like it is now.
True RX470/570 only good for eth and monero , but also they are top currencies to mine, not like 1660ti is very efficient almost on every mining algo.

It seems that this video card is currently one of the leaders among the video cards for mining.
Through the use of more efficient memory, tGTX1660Ti shows a hash rate comparable to 1070 at a much lower price and power consumption (roughly corresponding to the GTX1060 level)
I don't even know what could be better?!
Yes most of the mining algorithms has even better performance them 1070. Prices is very attractive, compare to also very efficient cards like Radeon VII.
that's why i used 1070 rather than radeon VII. Radeon VII is less efficient than 1070 caused by it has consumed a lot of electricity almost doubled from how much has already consumed by 1070. 1070 is also having a better core clock rather than radeon VII. I still prefer GTX 1070 TI rather than radeon VII but 1070 should be at the top of the best GPU that can be used to mine crypto.

It's possible to reduce the power consumption of Radeon VII by reducing the voltage of the core to values about 800 mV.
In this mode, the video card will consume about 200 watts with 70-80 Mh/s
In any case, it's uncertain purchase now, given the cost of this card.

I have both, Radeon viis and 1660 tis and they are about the same dollar earned per dollar spent electricity and dollar spent on card vs dollars earned.  Nvidia has more mining options and but its sure is nice to have one rig earning as much as 3 Nvidia rigs.

How about the temp?
I am planning to build a GTX 1660 ti these following months my choice is both 1660ti and rtx2060 they are both more efficient and profitable compared to other GPUs nowadays.

yeah i was wondering about this, you can buy 3x 1660Ti cards though for a 2080 , its a tough call

normal space is not an issue for even medium size farms since you tend to just replace old cards with new every few years , so the space argument is moot

the big question is what is the hash/watt per $$

its 1 2080 rtx as  good as two 1660 tis ?

actually also you can get a 2060 rtx for close the the price of the 1660ti , and its 10 -15% faster so idk if itsa good deal.

The 1660 on the other hand for $200 is the best bang per buck ?
It really comes back to individual, as calculations has to be done to get back the fastest ROI if you are only in for gains.
So the best is to calculate price per mh/s and watt per mh/s , but it has proven in past that cheaper series cards are more profitable and does the fastest roi. Like in the past RX470 was top choise cause they where doing on eth so damm good and was very cheap. They still are very good pick if have cheap power as they are about 100$ now.

To me 2080 rtx is the best choice with proper underclock settings. Its a beast on prog pow, mtp, beam, . It only uses 135watts at 60 tdp and hashes a lot.

2080 rtx has better resale value, rtx cores for gaming and more future proof. 2080 does not get talked up a lot bc it does not mine eth that great for cost. Thats the only weakspot but does everything else great.

1660 ti is good choice also but you will need twice as many cards, more space, less future proof. But does great on most algos

Agree to this one! Why would go for expensive one if you do see 1070 is capable enough? Efficient which would level out the newer ones and also much cheaper.

If you do have the money to pull out on your pocket then 2XXX cards would always better comparing to 1XXX cards.  Wink

A lot depends from the pricing you can buy them think 1070 is still quite expensive for its performance speed here in Europe. Like the Vega is twice as expensive but 3x performance on some of the algos as 1070. Buy yes i do like also 1070, have one rig with 6xmsi armor 1070.

GTX 1660ti graphic cards where releases somewhere in February 2019. And they are value graphic cards from Nvidia, so it means good price , low power usage and very efficient for mining. Which makes the one of the most efficient mining graphic cards for mining some of the cryptos. Probably after our test the most efficient mining is on Ethereum , Raven and Grin coin mining.

We where testing these in hiveOS , and these are the results we are getting:

1660 TI mining benchmarks      Overclock used on rig
Currency      H/s per card   H/s per 6xgpu rig   Power usage per 6xgpu rig   Core   Memory   Power Limit   Miner software used in hiveOS
Ethereum          30.5mh/s      183mh/s                   485w                            0       2000        75                   phoenix miner
Grin coin           4.5gps           27gps                      600w                           50      1600         95                   grin Bminer
Monero             615h/s           3.8kh/s                    520w                           100    1000         120                   nanominer
Ravencoin         18mh           100mh/s                    500w                           100    0              75                   ccminer-enemy

Power usage is really great on these cards, so at least there is some profit for mining in such tough times for miners. Like some of the other graphic cards even doesn’t cover power costs for mining. This means if you are using these cards , you can stay longer in the game without loosing money. Which is crucial for large mining farms, as we have seen a lot of them shutting down as they cannot cover the power costs.

What GPU's you are using for mining ALTS? What's the most efficient you think?
