You've probably seen this tweet posted many times around this forum and social Media.

Apparently, the owner wanted to make money out of it by selling it as NFT on Opensea. The current price is around 1.7 ETH.

I would say, that this is one of the most popular tweets in the whole crypto space and probably in the whole financial sector overall. That this guy wants to sell it now as an NFT shows that he is still up to date with the crypto market or at least, that he has not completely abandoned it. Usually i think that the NFT topic is hyped to much at the moment and a lot of people try to make some easy money by selling crappy "art" as NFT. Even though it is kinda the same here, i still think that this is pretty cool and could attract some buyers.

Anyone can screenshot that tweet of him since it was posted in public tweeter account. I wonder if there will a buyer for that kind of NFT which the source is open to the public. This is possible if the original post is a picture containing that statement so that use the original image to convert to NFT but I highly doubt for its success selling it since the source image is a screenshot from his profile even though he can verify the authenticity of the ownership of that said historical status about Bitcoin.

Man, I feel sorry for this dude. At the current BTC value, he could have over $75million for those BTC.
He should team up with that dude who purchased pizza with 10,000 BTC and creates a "Bitcoin_Regrets_Yacht_Club" NFTs instead of creating one for his own. Cheesy
I do hope he would be able to sell that NFT tho. It certainly has crypto historical value.

I just updated the link because the previous one isn't working anymore. Check out the latest bids:
  • 0.2604 WETH ($819.94)
  • 0.212 WETH ($667.54)
  • 0.11 WETH ($346.37)

^ You think these prices are more acceptable now?

Why would I buy an article written in just 10 seconds without any effort?
I guess the same question applies on every art out there. Why would you buy if it didn't ever require any effort? If you could have done it as well...

Well the difference is that you or me didn't do it first. And something doesn't need ro have ton of work behind it to have historical significance.
Yeah the main selling point here is not the effort done to put this on sale but the historical value and also the popularity of the tweet. I've this too many times almost every year in different platforms.

You too can make an NFT token and sell it on Opensea. This post is even more interesting.
This is why many are saying NFT is a big bubble that will burst soon because of this useless art and yet they are selling it at a huge price. What’s the purpose of this old tweet? This is just a pure hype to me and for sure if someone will buy this, that must be a whale who don’t care about his money at all.
Whales just take care of their investments and invest for many years to come. 1.7 ETH is not a big amount, and if this NFT is advertised, then it can be sold for 10-20 times more. But not everyone has the opportunity to advertise NFT tokens.

I wonder how far these tweet sales will go. I don't understand why they buy it as NFT either. It's a message someone sent at the time. Over the years there have been changes and massive inflows of money. I'm sure there are many people tweeting like this. Is it a smart move, yes, a smart move in my opinion. Is it a smart move to buy? Totally wrong decision. Why would I buy an article written in just 10 seconds without any effort?

It's just like someone would buy and old sketch made by Leonardo Davinci. You like it, you like the guy, you buy! Pretty simple if you ask me

True, but it's easier with Twitter. You login with twitter on a platform, turn your own tweets into NFTs and list them. Plug'n'play mode ON

He must have been thinking so much about the recent bitcoin price and the amount he sold in the past. A lot have changed, though he'll see some funds for selling his tweet as NFT still a great Idea selling his mistake to the cryptocurrency world. Hopefully, the buyer of this NFT will hold it as a sign of respect to the tweet's owner for selling bitcoin when it was so little in price. Maybe few years later the tweet he sold as NFT will worth more than the price he placed it today. I think Greg the owner of the NFT should hodl it so that he won't regret in future if the price skyrockets in another person's hand.  Grin

Yeah, clever. I like this guy. He's made history for himself but I'm sure that he's totally feeling bad seeing himself talking about selling at cents. Well, he's moved on already and somebody would even think that bitcoin would be reaching close to $70k by that time in the past.

So far, with his 4 on sale, the bids aren't that much. Hopefully, I'm wishing him that he'll get the best deal for selling all of those he has put into NFT. The white one has got more bidders than the three.

If Jack Dorsey was able to sell his very first tweet as NFT, this person should be able to do it as well.
