I'll give you a heads up and say that this is not a coordinated/targeted attack on cryptocurrecy related companies. It is just because of the nature of business they are involve in, with handling volatile assets Riot Blockchain must have  a detailed report as well as proof on what money is coming in and out of the company. SEC and even the IRS are here to be fair on everything and they don't want some company listed in the U.S. stock exchange on filing a wrong income report.

Riot Blockchain, the Nasdaq-listed company that made headlines last year after its focus on cryptocurrency related services received a subpoena from the US Securities and Exchange Commission. The company announced the filing of its 2017 Annual Report Form 10-K, which can be viewed on the Company’s website or at SEC.gov.
