A 19 year old millionaire is pretty impressive but I do believe that he had tons of luck getting this rich. Anyway, I do not recommend advices from a teenage boy but the decision he made was pretty good.

I see this as a reply to those who think bitcoin is nothing but a bubble and just a ponzi scheme. But I believe that for people like Finman and us, bitcoin is a boon that has given our lives such a boost we never thought that any investment or bank would do. It didn't just create wealth, but makes opportunities available repeatedly. This is one of the best examples that I'll show to people, especially youngsters of my age and many of those who criticize Bitcoins without knowing anything about it.
The general population usually just parrots whatever their favourite news outlet feeds them. With all the FUD and fake news regarding Bitcoin it's no surprise that people would criticize it blindly. Their loss though, give it a few more years and it'll become "mandatory" like the internet is today.

He reminded me Bill Gates. LOL. I mean his appearance. This guy was really very wise to use the present of his grandmother to invest it into Bitcoins. Congratulations!

Bill Gates? He reminds you Bill Gates?

Bill Gates have changed the world. Many people are taking advantages of his innovation. But  I don't think this 19 years old boy have done any thing for a person.

People who invested in Bitcoins in 2010-11 were very lucky. Also, as a teenager he must be having a lot of patience to keep the Bitcoins as prices kept rising.

The story of a teenager who is now 19 years old is quite unique, because with his age is still quite young, he was able to take decisions that may be considered strange in his time. How could he have thought about Bitcoin that eventually led him to become a millionaire then

I think he has set a good example for teenagers. Instead of wasting time on useless things like alcohol, they should learn about investment strategies.

well besides luck, he's somewhat special. He bought his first bitcoin at the age of 12. What 12 year old boy is interested in investment? Of course this is with the assumption that he acted on his own. But even if it were his parents influencing him, it's still pretty impressive, especially since he continued to grow his btc.

I shall ditto that.
The teen did get lucky indeed, I would not seek  out his advice.
Like the taxi driver or pizzeria, who got paid in bitcoin agents ago.
I am sure you remember these.
You would not look for advice from a teenager, and a guy might understand the technology of crypto currency better than you. Now younger minds, learn something new faster and have a future for them. Do not neglect a bright look, they also have something to learn. Wink

Interesting enough, they had a article on Vitalik Buterin just beneath that article and he is just 24 years old with a reported

Net Worth of between $400 million-$500 million. https://www.forbes.com/sites/laurashin/2018/02/07/ethereum-vitalik-buterin-ether-crypto-cryptocurrency/#1341af456e4f

I would have been more impressed with the teenager in that article, if he worked for that money and then invested it into

Bitcoin. The risk is much lower, when you are gambling with someone else's money.  Roll Eyes
Not to mention the emotional side of it. If the money isn't yours you'll be much more ballsy and will be less likely to bail out when things get hairy. Not really impressed with the teen, he got lucky. Good for him, but nothing special and certainly doesn't put him in a position to give interesting advice to anybody.

Buterin is a whole different story though.
