Good decisions to have 1 btc as the value slump, once you had 1 btc you can have other altcoins that can survive and increase. Before making any decisions put in your mind that crypto is a big risks because of btc price may went down again. Although, price is down for btc I believe it’s value may survive soonest.

Everyone will have their own decision but for me I'll choose BTC. Because BTC is the king of cryptocurrency although at the moment while market is very terrible but BTC is still the king of crypto world and it'll be the same in next few year for sure so BTC is the best choice for me.

If you really had enough money to buy 1BTC and freely accepted the risk then go for it, I know that BTC had the capability to survive and gain another momentum to rise sooner.

It really depends, but in this collapsing market, I would definitely say hodl it.

BTC will survive this, other altcoins won't.
BTC has market penetration, over 50% of the market value, is the most widely traded coin, and is liquidable.
When all is said and done, it will be the leading form of value after everything stops falling apart.

Of course, you could "hit it big" with another altcoin, but most of the time, it doesn't even outperform btc.
Yeah, you could have done neo or omg during ico and earned insane returns, but btc has them to.
Last year Jan 2017, btc was around $1000.
In one year it went up to $19000.
That's absolutely insane.

Now, btc is at a bargain price, I would buy more to make that 1 btc 2 btc.

Hi all!

Before you tell me to split my money on different coins - I would like to see what your opinions are..

Would you buy 1 whole BTC and hold it or ignore BTC and go for something else?

If I were you, I'd buy Bitcoin, but not now. Near the end of December, the price will be $1500-2100, it'll be the best time to invest before a new wave of growth. But you have to wait for 2-3 years!

Better pick if you can afford to have 1 btc on your wallet purse. But if I have funds Id rather invest it on some altcoins than btc, we can never know thr future of some coins and tokens that can tremendously outrun btc in the future.

Very tricky question and I think with this there's no right or wrong answer it is on how you explain your side.

Well here's mine, with the current situation I'll go with BTC if I want to play safe since it is on a good deal in $3.7k mark but since I like risk I would go to an altcoin specifically INS, I'm shilling this token since then and if you will take a look on this project for a long term you will feel what I am right now.

well, you should make a strategy for yourself. I think, when you choose bitcoin, and the price of bitcoin decreases, you will blame others. so you should take the risk yourself. well, for now I suggest to focus on real estate.

This time all depend your analysis, if you have good calculation and faith stay with bitcoin is good but if not please don't split your money, just go out side and try built new activity out side bitcoin. We have same purposes but people have different method, so asking is not helping. What do you what for now and your future? decides first and take the challenge. Why do you want to buy only BTC ? The price of btc is the highest in the market, you can buy other altcoins cheaper than btc.
If i have enough money to spend in crypto, i will find a good altcoins and buy to hold them.
Of course, intensive research and due diligence are required to avoid scam coin project and wasting money.

I did not consider investing in Bitcoin at all, but I was looking for quite good alts, because the gap between the bottom and the investment is much smaller and the risk of losing it also decreases several times.

He have to buy 1 BTC and have to hold that coin for a few years. That will give a very high profit in that time which not any other business will give you. There are also a number of other coins but that will confuse you if you will follow the advice of people here so try to study first about different coins.

Like it's often said around here, do not put money meant for other things in crypto. This will determine the level of risk you'll be willing to take. So, if the current money you have isn't what you'll need in the nearest future, I'll suggest you buy but 1BTC and hodl. Bitcoin has proven to be the most reliable crypto and before it would die, every other altcoin in the space would have to give way first.

Definitely buy 1 BTC, keep it safe and then get on with your life for one two or maybe three years,,, this is the best time to buy Bitcoin, you missed out on 2017 and 2018? Well, welcome back you missed out all the drama and when ATH comes again you did not miss out. No worries, no fuss. You trade, you get worries.

Of course, please keep that Bitcoin safe. Do not store it on any exchange!
Yeah, you are right. Bitcoin is the best choice until now, we can buy it now and hope the price will increase in the future. It is very possible to get much profit from it, but we can not predict when the price will increase.

I recommend that you first have 1 BTC before investing in Altcoins. The past has shown that BTC survives every crisis and persists in the market in the long term. BTC is the first of its kind and because of this you have a higher security for your assets than any other Altcoin could do.

In addition, the BTC price is currently very low, which makes it very interesting for a purchase. Of course, no one can assure you that the price will not go any further.

Even more confused on what to do but thanks Smiley

let me try and make it simpler for you:
if the money you are going to invest (which is nearly $4000) is the money that you can afford to lose then go ahead and buy bitcoin now and consider it as a long term investment. come back in a year or so and see the huge profit you have gained.
if it is not the money you can afford to lose then invest a smaller amount of money like $2000 and buy 0.5 bitcoin with it.

Every resolution you make, every decision you make, should be solely your responsibility. Nobody owes you any explanation and no one can tell or compel you to buy a particular coin or series of coins.
Do your own research based on what you see in the market and buy what you feel will give you good profit.
Then, there are altcoins that are worth investing in and can give you more profit sometimes than investing in btc, most especially when you are considering short term investment.

I think buying Bitcoin in the market down is the best option, because all the altcoin trends are affected by Bitcoin, and Bitcoin will not collapse due to manipulation!

You can invest in any coin now in this disaster market and price of coins are very very cheap and big whales are taking advantage of this to make more income, BTC is nearly $3.8k which was never expected by anyone in this forum. I have faith in this as it will recover very soon.

If you have trading experience and you are familiar with the cryptocurrency market, you can take a risk and invest part of the money in altcoins for short and medium term deals. If your skills in this area are small and you would like to avoid big risks, then you can simply buy Bitcoin and forget about the cryptocurrency market for a while and do something else

I would but it's a bit risky right now consider about there was a lot of speculation about the market is not yet stable. I guess you can try to diversify your amount and then try to put the rest on the ripple and ethereum. But this time it looks like all of speculators concentrated on the SV.

If you afford to take the risk (and afford to lose the money if the things go wrong), go for it. Get 1BTC and hold until it goes beyond moon. On crypto scene, Bitcoin has the best potential gain vs risk ratio.

If you have the appetite for even higher risk (and afford to lose too) then you can think on altcoins too. But there, since the risk is even higher, you should really think on diversifying. Of course, with higher risk there's the higher potential gain too (in case it doesn't crumble to dust).

it is impossible to answer this! you think it is a simple question but it really isn't.

for example is the money you are investing all the money you have or a big percentage of it or a small percentage of your savings? this market is a high risk one, you should invest small percentages. of course that also depends on how old you are, if you are 14 investing all your launch money is not a bad idea but if you are 30-40 with a family then you may want to think twice before investing all your life savings in this market. again depends on the percentage you are investing.

then it also depends on how much you are familiar with this market. if you are brand new then i would say only stick to bitcoin and nothing else and think about buying a small amount like 0.05BTC (around $200) as a start, learn how wallets work and how to secure them (cold storage), then learn more about the market and gain some experience.

if you are not new and you have some trading experience then you can think about altcoin market but only if you are familiar with pump and dumps.

finally it also depends on how diversified your portfolio is. if you already have other assets (other assets are not altcoins, other assets means stocks, bonds,... as in real assets not shitcoins that are dumping if bitcoin goes down) then you can think about bitcoin as a diversification which is a very good option. if not then think about what things you can buy. depending on where you live and the stocks market it can be a good option from time to time. there are also a lot of other options.

Bitcoin @ $3,773 is cheaper than I'd ever expected for this year. We may never see this price again. If I'm about to buy one whole bitcoin, then I'd definitely love to do that if I've got some money to spend with freely.

I do not think that here you will find what you are looking for. Some will say that we are already at the bottom and worth buying, others predict a fall further, but everyone thinks the coin in which he invested money is better than the other and you will get many answers, perhaps listening to one of which you can earn money, but how do you understand that it will be "exactly that" answer?

Then you can buy Bitcoin and hodl for the longest term, or better still you can buy couple of reliable altcoins with good product.
The choice is all yours.
