He gave me lots of account so I can clarify things and proof if its legit.
It this account you will have the benefits of an .edu mail like Unlimited Goolge Drive Storage and more except the office 365 for student as this is a .edu mail created using gmail business plan. Gmail and Microsoft is not good combination.

Yes all account is working and looks legit, maybe newly created or possible this account are those student who already graduated in their school and not even use their .edu mail because everything are fresh or this account was reset by the admin to make it fresh again because not in use.
Why fresh because its first time to accept the TOS and put password on it.
The issue it has a secondary email (also a school .edu email) for password recovery and you can't remove it. But this email are use for the protection of the student incase they forgot their password. You can still add yours for your own password recovery email.
Is this account will last? I can't answer that as I can't find information about the domain about how long the registration but this .edu mail is link to a legit school so I think if the school still operating the .edu mail is still active.
