Or they'll just "cancel" the campaign after the application thread is flooded with scam warning posts. They get a few days of free promotion and can blame the "trolls".
We are not going to leave people without payment, just like we do with the complaints received - all of them refunded or spent by users: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.56150537

Also, we have no connections with 1xBet, it is seen via Curacao license: web archive

Going to be interesting to say the least.

If they were at least trying to look legitimate IMO they would be using more of the zero trust people.

✅ Need Campaign Manager? TG > @TalkStar675
I have created a thread about the 1xbit signature campaign when they launched it last year. Here is it, Eventually, 1xbit has launched its new Signature campaign. (Update: 26-05-2021). Last time they ran banner ads on the forum once they failed to run signature campaign. I was surprised once see their banner ads. But later the ads down by admin, here was the response from admin.
Yeah we all know that they are trying to run their campaign in forum at any cost but not getting the scope due to their undeniable past record. Every time they are using new plan to run signature campaign and its the only option left on their hand. Admin took the right decision by donating their funds to charity and they know well that chance of using this forum banner space is no more.

Just take a look on their recent signature announcement. No doubt that they are giving greedy offer to get some participants and already they got a good number of application. They are using every single options but forum DT members are playing key role by revealing their activity every time.

I am not sure if we can prevent this campaign, but personally I don't like to see advertise in the forum.
I don't think theymos will give them another chance to run their banner ad again in forum but we will have to keep our eyes open for their signature participants.

I know theymos thinks he is doing the correct thing in not moderating scams or nuking large parts of the forum that are a breeding ground for scammers, but sooner or later IMO having all this stuff festering here is going to hurt crypto.

-Dave

In my humble opinion, this forum doesn't have a lot of effect on the world of crypto anymore.  Crypto is bigger.  And it's still full of scams.  Nothing going on here will hurt crypto nearly as much as a pump-and-dump celebrity influencer.

I'm not trying to speak for theymos, but I'm not sure he thinks he's "doing the correct thing," but rather allowing the community to choose what's right or wrong.  Having a hands-off approach doesn't mean he's impartial.  Quite recently he stepped in to take remedial action against scams.  But these are different situations, and can't really be compared.

Probably never going to happen, but would be an interesting supply & demand experiment.

Smart is not enough, there must be skills
I said in the thread of 1xbit's signature campaign that they should work more on the complaints than the signature campaign. But I did not get the expected answer from them.
I think they will not answer that because what they want is the mercy of a high paying signature campaign, of course many will correct them and say they are wrong because they are more concerned with the signature campaign than the many complaints that occur which continue to enter complaints in the Trustpilot in show by YOSHIE.
So it is useless to advertise their site for the campaign while the problem is not guaranteed until now so 1xbit has indeed had many accusations until now.

What I'm worried about is when people in this forum are interested in this site and they will get stuck there, prevention must be taken so that no one applies to the campaign.

looks like there are people thought it's worth getting a negative tag for advertising a scam gambling site for $30-$140. also, I noticed that the shill army of adkinsbet is at it trying to join the campaign. I wouldn't be surprised if 1xbet decided to accept them.

Most of the accounts that have applied in the signature campaign are tagged accounts. You can't expect anything good from those users, they were already involved in a lot of bad things that got them tagged. So they can do everything for money.

Sorry I'm curious, if everyone here already knows that 1xbit.com is a site with a bad reputation then why didn't anyone report that campaign thread to the moderator for action? I saw the thread was still open.

Please read forum rules,

19. Possible (or real) scams and Trust ratings are not moderated (to prevent moderation abuse).
This means reporting to the moderator wouldn't help to remove the campaign thread. As you see in the rules, the forum doesn't moderate possible or real scams.

Yea, the thread will exist open if OP is not locked by himself or not move to the archive unless he broke forum rules. Moderator only takes action upon breaking forum rules Hope you understand what I said.

They seem to have a tradition now. try to launch your campaign about once a year. This time, they made a bid on post pay, raising it to a record $9 per post. Only what in this sense, at least $20 per post, but who will probably advertise this scam garbage. The 1xbit owner needs to resolve past reputation issues with scam accusations, but they don't think about it at all.

If they are stubborn to the end and will accept someone in their campaign, these participants will most likely be negatively marked in the trust.

Makes you wonder how other places will respond. Not to put too fine a point on it, if they actually do pay the $9 / post will the legitimate places feel any pressure to raise their rates.

Look at all the crap that the best change campaign got when they 1st opened, but over a year later they are still paying and going strong.

We all know 1x is crap, but if this week they get 19 bad alt accounts with their sig and 1 good one and they actually pay, then a few weeks later they have 18 bad alts and 2 good ones, etc.

Yeah, it requires that they pay but assuming that they have 20 legendary accounts only @ $140 a week that is still under $3000 a week. If they are really as big as they look and are not paying some players then it's pocket change.

All of a sudden, someone who is considered a "good bitcointalk user" needs some more money and figures screw it and sings up.

Probably never going to happen, but would be an interesting supply & demand experiment.

If nothing has changed since the last time the admin wrote that post, then his attitude towards advertising a service that has such reputation will be identical - meaning it will ban their signature, similar to what happened with YoBit in the past. One of you just needs to send a PM to theymos and link to this thread - he only has the ability to disable their advertising.

I'm not a fan of tagging accounts for wearing a signature, but I am hoping this will cause some to think about whether they want to support this outfit.

129 users who were wearing a yobit signature and had at least 1 good report against them in the last 14 days are banned for 14 days. All yobit signatures are wiped. Signatures containing "yobit.net" are banned for 60 days.

Some people were talking about neg-trusting spammers for spamming. This is not appropriate; report the posts, and if that doesn't seem to be working well, come to Meta with specific examples and suggestions.

Really ironic bad behavior done by: team / management (1xBet) towards its users, not only on the Bitcointalk, they also launched their actions outside the forum, recently there have been accusations against them (1xBet).

Accusation:

https://www.trustpilot.com/users/60ad34b74d27a40019562859

Accusation:

The accusations from year to year were never resolved until there was a freeze and closed access to the 1xBet site.

Tottenham Hotspur Cut Ties With 1xBet, Liverpool & Chelsea Also Receive Gambling Commission Warning

1XBET Does not work

Now they are at their wits' end to launch their new action and look for new victims.

Be careful playing on the 1xBet gambling site, if you insist on the risk of your money being lost.

It seems: they don't care about their reputation anymore, they are like spikopats looking for prey that can be used as a sacrifice for their greed.

I mean, it's 1xbet's poster child, so what else do you expect?

Just look how bad the parent company's reputation is: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1xBet

And those creators are on wanted lists everywhere so I guess it's only a matter of time before these 1xbit guys go on the run too, being legally related to 1xbet.

Removed. A service with this reputation should not have been allowed to advertise, but because the bidder was fairly established and had no negative trust, I didn't do enough research, and I missed the scam accusations and the other account. Apologies.

It's best to PM me high-priority things like this, since I notice PMs more quickly than Meta posts with vague titles.

I will donate the 0.08 BTC from this to some charity or charity-like-thing which accepts BTC. Any suggestions for a particular charity? (If there's no consensus in about a week, then I'm just going to donate it to The Water Project.)

Update: 0.0679971 BTC donated to Royse777's Project Covid-19, and 0.0120029 BTC donated to The Water Project

1xbit is at it again.  They showed up today with a new account and started a signature campaign, and of course, they have many applicants already.  Then they  started a bounty for reviews, in a self-moderated thread, lol.

I'm not a fan of tagging accounts for wearing a signature, but I am hoping this will cause some to think about whether they want to support this outfit.

Here's a list of the 1xbit accounts, read the
