Last 2 blocks look like they were found within just a few seconds of each other.

Why would this be a rare phenomenon?
It takes ~600 second on average to generate a block, so it's 1/300 chance to do it in 2 seconds. There are ~144 blocks/day.
So this should happen almost every 2 days, shouldn't it?

uh, that's not how the CDF works.

imagine if it was the same person who found 2 blocks one after the other... what a bonus.

... and then he remembered he was mining in a pool...

Blockexplorer says 20 seconds, I don't think this will be a problem.

yeah, that's the time that each miner stamped their block with, but in reality they poppped up on bitcoin monitor in much closer proximity.

anyway, good to know that the 2nd one of these is valid and was built on that first one.

imagine if it was the same person who found 2 blocks one after the other... what a bonus.

last 2 blocks look like they were found within just a few seconds of each other... what's the chance that the 2nd of this pair is invalid and will need to be re-done?
if they are consectutive: none.
if they are paralelle: 100%

but blockexplore says they are consectutive. so chances are: none, will not get "re-done."
