I sent Joshster a $100 Amazon gift card. He never sent me BTC.

I sent ilovebitbit 10LTC and he never sent me BTC.

Simply ask for escrow, if they disagree, back away from the trade. (unless they are highly reputable with a long reputation feedback thread).

You should consider using either escrow or bitmit.net like the others said.

However bitmit.net is a good option because it's so profitable from if you want to auction things off.
There is a small fee involved though, nothing too much more.

How does BitMit work, I went on their site and seemed confusing but I would be interested in using their service.

It works fairly well just create a seller account there and list an item to sell.  When you sell you choose I accept escrow.  Make sure if you buy from someone that it says they accept escrow on there account not all sellers choose to do escrow.

I just want to tell everyone to be very careful and if you do escrow make sure its real. I got scammed after I sent my coins to a fake escrow.  The user never sent ripple xrp in return.  And the user faked the escrow by making it look like it was from the sender.

They can fake anything don't trust messages that look like there from the sender.  Because they most likely are not. Make sure to contact both parties first and make sure it is indeed the escrow and not faked by the scammer.

you cant blame anyone but yourself and sorry to say this in a blunt way but not many here feel sympathy for situations like this cause it occurs literally everyday

either use bitmit.net or escrow it theres nothing you can do but cut your losses now
