Depends on the graphic cards you decide running on windows then, have you tried running Vega 56 and 64 cards on windows? This will give you a lot of headaches and you have to reapply every tweaks once your rig is down, hive OS and other Linux OS works better for this Vega the most

Right. Most of my cards Are AMD-based. Rx 570- 580. That's Why I had to switch to HiveOS.

Maybe, He uses High-End cards Only, Or He Uses Modded bios.

Hi. First of all, If you have a Dedicated Pc for Mining. Just Forget everything And Go for HiveOS. There are many issues in Windows mining Crypto.
I suffered for 3 months when I started mining. After That, I switched to HiveOS. Now I sleep much better.

For your kind information, I flashed HiveOS On an SDCard, Put it into a card reader. And I am mining with SDCard and a Card reader.  Grin

If you don't want to lose your Windows, Use USB Flash Drive or a Card reader with SDCard.

Flash a HiveOS, Then sleep much better. If you don't know how to Flash HiveOS,

Here is a video guide for you. > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Pw87g8Kkiw&t=1s

Still, if you face the issue of Flashing HiveOS, Write it down here. I am here to help you with that.

Thanks

Hmm i sleep better with my 20 windows rigs since 4 years. I hate Mining OS bashing, windows is also good and stable like every other OS.

I don't think so. Actually, it depends sometimes. I have too many power outage issues. I do not have time to check if there was a power outage. No time to overclock all the cards again. So I am happy With HiveOS.

Rising the virtual memory did not change anything.

What did you rise it to?

24 x 5 = 120gb plus a bit more. say 140gb

and is your drive an ssd?

Basically you need a 256gb ssd or more.

there are other things that can be the issue.

set the cards to 280 power

and core of +20

ram needs to be under 10000.

i think that is about 800 to 1000 + I forget as I only have 1 3090 set to windows.

you may be throttling due to too much heat and high ram numbers.

along with 5  cards running.

what is the psu you use?

2000 watts are hard to find

if you are using a 1600 watt atx like a corsair or an evga you may be just a bit underpowered.

Never heard about a virtual memory issue.
Are you sure?

Lol. Its bad enough that haven't the foggiest about mining, but that "Are you sure" just made me snort.

Yes we are sure if its windows you need more virtual memory then the total of vram on your cards….it isnt used….just a windows thing.

Linux does not suffer these issues.

With a shortage of virtual memory, the hash rate of the video card will not be 100 megahash Smiley
You still have a very good result, because for many miners all summer the hashrate did not rise above 80 megahash.
I would recommend that you install the hive os on a USB flash drive and try mining. If it is a software problem, then you will solve your problem.

You can Google this yourself, virtual memory increase help balance hashrate and remove lags too, this is very common and almost everyone knows it, the only way to avoid this is use mining OS like hive or smOS

Increase your PC virtual memory and there will be no more hashrate loss, do a math on all the memory of your 3090s and insert the exact amount of vram in the virtual memory and activate, restart the PC and start mining

Though hiveOS works better for high end cards like 3090s and even more stable OC too

Hey guys,

I have got 5 RTX 3090s.
I use Windows 10.

I have tested each card in a test bench and each cards gets about 120 MHs at +1000 MHz RAM.

When I use all 5 together on one rig I get 3 cards with 120 MHs, one wirh 110 MHs and one has only 100 MHs.

No matter what setting I do in Afterburner the two low performing cards don't even respond.
I change PL from 80 to 90%, the cards still only consume about 260 watts.

I installed one of the low performing cards directly in an x16 slot on the MB, but still the same issue.

Anyone got an idea why 2 of the cards are performing so badly in the rig while they work fine if they are alone in the testbench?

Power delivery is very rich... I got more than twice the power in PSUs that they consume.
