Flying Hellfish is a Commie
We're not all going to sit here and think that Putin really cares about these two people, if anyone is trying to connect these two stories they're not someone who understands geopolitics.

Putin is going to sell them arms if they work with him in some way on policy of some sort. This is how geopolitics works,no country is just going to sell missiles for nothing -- they're going to do it to get a upper hand on a country and to cash in a favor. I'm not really up to date on the current politics of the two countries, but there must be something that putin wants from Turkey that can help him out in some way.

The main reason why russia did not send special forces into Turkey is that Turkey is a member of NATO. I watched the russian TV video about the shot down plane where russian politic stated that if Turkey was not in NATO, our forces would be in Istanbul next day.  Putin and russians are cowards. He can only kill weak ukrainins and syrians. When it comes to NATO member he craps his pants.

Does NATO means Turkey can shoot down Russian jet and later the pilots are killed mid-air because of Turkey airforce actions ?

or Russia does not want to risk war with NATO ?

There will be no war of Russia with NATO, even when Russia starts annexing the Baltic countries. Such war is likely to grow into a full-scale nuclear war, which means that everyone will lose.

I would add a small detail: Russian shelling Ukraine from its territory, being sure that there will be no response.

In 2015, two Russian fighter pilots were shot dead in mid-air by Islamic fighters when the Russian fighter jet was shot down by Turkey air force. The 2 pilots were parachuting down when they were shot and killed in mid-air.

In 2018, Russia sold S-400 missiles system to Turkey instead of sending Russian special forces into Turkey.   Huh
