sounds like multiple chains. was probably forked already. Why is it a dead coin? Maybe exactly because it is forked up and has more than one chain going?

Thank you for your answer.

So multiple users are currently mining different chains?
This is too hardcore for me I'll just pick another coin for her Smiley

yeah, probably. Maybe the coin was 51%-attacked in the past and the devs didn't clear the situation afterwards and that is the reason for it to be considered a 'dead' coin. So it's not useable. Why not mine something that is actually working and has some value? Should be more fun too since you get some btc out.

Thank you for explaining that,

That is probably what I'll do, maybe doge/corgi because she loves dogs   Smiley

edit: so it is very likely your two computers are on different chains. So sending funds wouldn't work. I may be wrong though and something else is causing this.

Hi,

I tried to mine some kudos, one wallet is on my computer and one wallet with the same address is on the miner computer.

After few blocks found, the wallet on my computer stopped showing new blocks, so I went to my miner and saw it keep finding blocks and the wallet shows different amount and more transactions.
Of course I checked the address and they are the same, the wallets are synchronized until a certain block and then they split to 2 different wallet with the same address?

Important point: kudos is a dead coin, I mined it for my little sister so she can get familiar with the virtual currencies. I had like 70% of the hashing power mining it - Did I just fork the coin?

Please explain I'm lost Smiley

EDIT : when I copy the wallet file from the miner to my computer it shows the new blocks - the address is exactly the same!
Which wallet is the correct one? It's not possible both are legit because some of the amount mined is showing in both wallets..
