...I realise I'll never recoup the money I've spent on buying the hardware, nor pay the substantially expensive electricity bill this month, hehehe.

Always a bit sceptical of providing links. Try this though:

Google 5830. In Google shopping, there's an XFX 5830 entry (2nd from the top). The price and supplier are listed there.

Aren't you aware that Google search is also based on location? If your in the UK, you will see it as #2, if your in China you will see it at page 100. Just post the link...

There's a UK supplier selling ATI 5830 for £72. On its own, it's not a bad card. Crossfire it, it can out-compete the 6xxx cards. £144 will get you a 6870, but dual 5830 is far better for mining. ATI drivers have improved somewhat for crossfire performance. If you get bored with mining, this can at least handle the current crop of games.
