I'm wondering whether it will gradually get there by 'itself' or if its going to take a banking scandal or media orgasm to get it there..

The run to $1000 surprised me. So with the same amount of surprise $2000 wont be much of a surprise from $1000. So I say we go to $3k....maybe higher before retreating.

It'll jump way past it to 3000 sometime within the next couple months and then fall back down to a bit above 2000 a couple days later. Then it'll either stay or crash way down.

I don't think there's a bubble either.
A lot of it's value is now because many people want BTC to just hold on to or to buy more mining equipment.
I personally think we can see another year of steady growth, although maybe not as much as last year. Admit, last year was crazy and unreal, it can't keep going up as fast as last year. But still, a bit slower and more steady growth is good.

On the other hand there's also people lurking for cheap BTC, they'll counter the crash.
Just wanted to make clear it doesn's specifically have to keep rising as fast as it does.

I think these crazy falls are just a sign that this isn't a bubble, but a value that people see as fair.
it is maybe dangerous for some speculators, not for true believers like me.)

The dangerous thing here is that once it drops a bit more than it recently did, many people will panic sell making it drop even more.

I think it's time for the Bitcoin to rise again now, since we've crashed a bit yesterday. I think we hit the $1500 in january, the $2000,- in March / April.
