I recently bought 7 of these brass halves from nubbins. Sent 2 of them in to ANACS and they both got MS-66...! If you follow the 2013 Brass stuff you will know that most of it grades poorly like MS-64.
Also part of the deal for my purchase was Nubbins had to draw me a Wizard...and he delivered! -> https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.9397062

...AND because I have impeccable trust ratings here on the forums as well as in the OTC WoT. ...

Indeed - I'll vouch that I've worked with you several times, and you've gone above and beyond every time.

I can vouch for the .5 brass coins.  came from my purchase with Mike.  nubbins bought a bunch from me.

Thanks so much!

Both series-2 silvers have been sold, for 13.5 BTC each. I'll let the buyer decide if they wish to reveal their identity. Thanks, everyone, for your interest!

Wow...big jump in price versus earlier sales of them.  Congrats to both buyer and seller on a rare coin.

Is shipping included in the prices you listed, and do you have any flexibility on the price of the 0.5's?

Any reason why these went up so much?  I thought I recall you last listing them for around 7.5 BTC

Nubbins likes to pump his prices Smiley

Shipping is included.

The 0.5s went up in price so much because I only have a few left to sell, and because they're the rarest Casascius coins that non-millionaires can afford to buy, and because they come with PGP chains of custody, AND because I have impeccable trust ratings here on the forums as well as in the OTC WoT. That said, don't be afraid to make an offer -- the worst I can say is no.

If you're still interested in buying one for cheaper, you *might* be able to find one for sale in Chainsaw's thread. Hard to say -- I'm really the only person selling them.

Thanks for the interest, folks Smiley

Loose lips sink sigs!
These 2011 coins that have come up that look a bit worn, have a nice patina starting to build, are looking very attractive - almost more so than the pristine golden versions that have never had a breath of warm air on them since they left Mike's protective custody.

Good luck with the sale...these transactions are win-win. Seller gets paid, buyer gets a piece of history!

(1) 2013 1 BTC Silver series-3 hologram (1Ag1) - I offer 2.4 BTC for the MS-67 one

Just to be clear, the coins I'm selling have not been graded; the picture you're seeing is a coin that was graded after I sold it:

I choose not to have my coins graded, so as not to break the chain of custody (the coins have never left my possession), but a previous buyer has graded a coin he received from me and it was given an MS67 rating. Here is a photo I took of two of my coins:
(picture of ungraded coin taken by me)

And here's a photo of the left coin, graded and slabbed:
(picture of same coin graded by buyer)

I obviously can't guarantee that the remaining coins will receive an MS-67 grade, but I can see no difference in quality between them.

Just want to make sure you know what you're making an offer on!

What grade is that 1btc brass '11? Looks a bit janky. You should get it graded.

It spent some time in the previous owner's pocket, and narrowly avoided crowdfunded destruction: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/crowdfund-destroy-my-series-1-coin-and-make-the-rest-of-yours-more-valuable-192116

Probably not much point in getting it graded, as I don't think it would fetch a particularly stellar grading.

I've had a few lowball offers on the 0.5 BTC Silver Series-2 coins, mostly in the 5-6 BTC range. While there's some wiggle room, I'm not willing to resort to bargain-basement prices Smiley

I'm not sure if you can get 4.5BTC for it though (I hope you do because I have some of these myself) someone else is selling the same coin MS-65 graded for 4BTC shipped.

Why not get the 1BTC error coin graded, your condition looks good and it would double the value

Bump because I love these coins  Grin

I have one in similar condition and am asking 3.5. dont you think 4.5 is a bit steep? perhaps i should be bumping my own price a bit...
as for grading, it certainly wouldn't double the value.

Time will tell, I suppose -- I'm not in any rush to sell. Coin-for-coin trades are an option as well.

I personally don't put a lot of stock in gradings, mostly because ANACS is notorious for over-grading coins. I've seen 1 BTC Silvers with TERRIBLE lasering on the holos get MS-67 gradings.

Im curious to see what price you get for the 2011 1 BTC Brass series-1 hologram...watching  Grin

Is it the error coin? If yes, you should post that! It makes it much more valuable.

It is! Thanks, I've updated the OP with more info and pictures.

I've got some Casascius coins that I'd like to sell.

(1) 2011 1 BTC Brass series-1 hologram - 4 BTC
(1) 2011 1 BTC Brass series-2 hologram (MS-64, mintage of approx. 500) - 4 BTC
(1) 2013 1 BTC Silver series-3 hologram (from the third roll ever produced: Roll 1Ag1-C) - 3 BTC
(19) (16) (11) 2013 0.5 BTC Brass series-2 hologram - 1 BTC

Silvers come in air-tite cases. Shipping from Canada with very discreet packaging.

PGP-verifiable chain of custody (from Casascius, through me, to you) is included with all silver coins, free of charge. Not sure what this means? Read here:

Nubbins, how did you extend the chain of custody on your coin?

Easy peasy. I take Mike's signed document, append text after his signature that identifies the new buyer, and sign the whole thing with my key.

For sake of illustration, Mike's original document is in blue, and mine is in red.

---Begin PGP doc---
- ---Begin PGP doc---

I, Mike Caldwell, sent coins a,b,c to nubbins,
and his PGP fingerprint is ABCD EFGH.

See attached document scanned-coins.pdf
with MD5 checksum blahblah

- ---Begin PGP sig---
234C%#@4fv524 <---PGP signature for Mike's key
- ---End PGP sig---

I, nubbins, sent coin b to zipmaster,
and his PGP fingerprint is IJKL MNOP.

---Begin PGP sig---
@%$Y#H/Rgef4e <---PGP signature for my key (ABCD EFGH)
---End PGP sig---

Then I just take this block of text and scanned-coins.pdf and send them along to the new owner.

Silver 1 BTC coins are from the very first batch: Series-3 holograms with the 1Ag1 prefix. I choose not to have my coins graded, so as not to break the chain of custody (the coins have never left my possession), but a previous buyer has graded a coin he received from me and it was given an MS67 rating. Here is a photo I took of two of my coins:

And here's a photo of the left coin, graded and slabbed:

Brass 1 BTC coin with Series-1 hologram contains a spelling error in the word "Casascius", light patina from handling and a few minor marks on the holo:
