I interpreted his comments as supportive of both Bitcoin and the trillion dollar coin. They initially seem "funny", yet they both might work.

Considering his abysmal track record, its probably best he isn't endorsing bitcoin.

But i think he referenced Bitcoin because he sees it in the same light as a trillion dollar coin.
