yes
I am suddenly reminded of that video of John Stewart destroying the two 'reporters' of Crossfire on CNN. Journalist and reporters come in small supply, the rest are entertainers and agitators.

This will make for an epic "early days of bitcoin blooper", like those we see from the early 90's explaining the interwebz.

Indeed. This was truly epic fail.

Personally I love seeing this kind of stuff.

It boosts my self-esteem tremendously whenever I confirm that the world is 90% populated by clueless people.

This.

Really? I find it a tad depressing.

Nah, I was aware most people are full retards, even many of the talking heads on tv who claim to have some expertise. But when you're once again reminded of that fact it does make you feel good about yourself that in this case, I am way ahead of the curve.

And there are many proper journalists around as well, so all hope for mankind is certainly not lost.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm aware that most people are stupid. It still depresses me, though.

Roll Eyes groan .. this was even worse than the last Bloomberg video.

In the world of financial journalism, Bloomberg is generally seen as a few notches above the likes of CNBC, etc. but this kind of coverage is just embarrassing.  While there's no such thing as "bad publicity" it seems like Bloomberg's idea of "news" is to stick 4 people in front of the camera who have absolutely no idea what they are talking about, to banter about, speculate, guess, and come up with all sorts of ridiculous comments that have no basis in reality.

Attention Bloomberg News:

If you are reading this, and I do hope you are, PLEASE before you mention the word "bitcoin" on the air again get someone who actually knows what they are talking about (you'll find many right here on this forum).

the real "tell" in the entire interview is what i experience with everyone i've tried explaining Bitcoin to and that is this:

the lady kept asking "where can i get some?"

yeah ... she needs to check out girlsgonebitcoin, she could probably get some on there, bloomberg bitcoin tips, not so much.

This is Bloomberg, supposedly one of the most trusted and respected financial news services on the planet, yet it is painfully clear to anyone who has studied the origins of money and bitcoins that they understand neither.

This neatly shows what a silly jerks are ruling our finances. World economics is doomed.

I couldn't stand to watch more than about a minute of the video.  "Complicated" I guess is just a code word for "I didn't do my research", "I didn't put any effort into it" or at worst "I don't want you to understand this" .  A good journalist can take an incredibly complicated subject and make it understandable to a person who has never heard of the topic before through the use of things like analogies and logic. I have read articles on theoretical particle physics and genetics that were understandable even though I will probably never work in either of those fields.   Based on what I saw and heard, I cannot say these were good journalists. It was bad enough to make me cringe.

This segment falls into the "Epic Fail" category.

For those who do understand what Bitcoin offers, the present is a huge buying opportunity before the masses have their epiphanies.

This. One of the most rewarding things about Bitcoin is that all those years of reading nonsense on Wikipedia, stupidly gambling on the stock market and reading a lot of books on everything finally paid off. I know about Bitcoin for around five months now, yet immediately understood why this was big and decided to go pretty much all-in. These guys at Bloomberg are supposed to be the experts, yet are unable to grasp even the surface of it (which goes for most journalists writing on Bitcoin).
