Bitcoin now definitely has reached mainstream in Dutch media as a report was shown on the NOS 8 o'clock news http://nos.nl/uitzendingen/8556-nos-journaal-2000.html (bitcoin report starts at 08:55)
video probably not visible outside Netherlands/Belgium

Also two articles on NOS website:
http://nos.nl/artikel/490896-vijf-vragen-over-bitcoins.html
http://nos.nl/artikel/490833-bitcoins-populair-na-cypruscrisis.html
First artice says: "Five questions about Bitcoin" gives good introduction accept that it states that bitcoin supply is limited in time because it becomes computationally harder to mine bitcoins, minor flaw. Keywords: decentralized, open-source, heavy cryptography, limited supply and reference to ECB comparing bitcoins with gold (do they?). Then in the end some warning for volatility and hackers. Article includes links to Bitcoin wiki and Bitcoin.org.
Second article refers to Cyprus and the apparent doubling in bitcoin price and that someone in Capelle aan den IJssel is selling his house for bitcoins https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/eensgezinswoning-te-koop-in-capelle-aan-den-ijssel-155261

Quote from both articles: "Virtual currencies exist already for a long time, they are used in shopping malls and at the fair. What makes Bitcoin so special is that it is not issued at a central location."

Both article and the report mention two companies Innopay and Bitbank.nl, I have never heard of them. Perhaps they lobbied to put this into the news? Anyway all very cool.
