If anything, this will cause the asic run-and-gunner outfits to dwindle in popularity - which judging by their dismissive attitudes towards their customers, they truly deserve to be relegated to the dustbin of history.

The professionals have stepped in, no more hot-glue, velcro or repurposing consumer electronics, kiddies - its fabs, custom enclosures and cooling systems. Step aside and watch how a real company makes equipment.

This is totally crazy. I thought first, its a scam, cause I didn't found no information about the ceo, but now it looks very professionel, they still hide their adress - no impressum - but they show themself in a video, and for least, the cryptograph and the angel are real persons for safe.

But its still crazy, it's an invitation for rich people to capture the network.

Also its crazy, cause you need very sophisticated micro-labs to produce this labs. If there's a moment to say bitcoin has gone industry, its now.

The 2 TH/s miner will be targeted towards retail customers and housed in a 2U air-cooled container. Early estimates of power efficiency indicate 0.6 Watts/GHs, 1,200 Watts total, though Cointerra wants to remain conservative with power estimates until manufactured chips can be measured. The miner will be self contained with a power supply and controlled through an ethernet port. Later announcements over the next few weeks should see products focused more towards data-center operators.
