When will journalists learn using "the Bitcoin" says "I've done no research".

It really is a problem. I've heard "the Bitcoin" used so much that I've caught myself saying it on accident. It's leaking into my brain!

It's not even a puzzle. A puzzle implies some sort of reasoning. This is just brute force guessing.

You overestimate how advanced my method of solving puzzles is, except for the edge pieces, everyone knows you do those first.

I wish people would stop using the "puzzle" analogy though.

I agree.  People should mention SHA-256, or at least "cryptographic hash function".   There is no reason to assume the public is too stupid to learn a new word.

The interviewer clearly has no clue, but Taariq Lewis does a great job of navigating her confusion and giving solid answers. I wish people would stop using the "puzzle" analogy though.
