Gotta respect someone who can admit they were wrong.  We all make mistakes, but few have the courage to admit it.

well, to be fair to him, he's at least warming up to bitcoin some. before he said bitcoin was for "jokers and has no value," now he's saying it's "for druggies, launderers, and gamblers.. but it does have value."

yeah, it does seem like he might have something against it, but his position has changed somewhat. he's still a clown for loving government backed currencies though.

He didn't change his view on bitcoin to pro-bitcoin, he just found a new way to explain why he is anti-bitcoin. I'll just wait for his next article in a few weeks where he tells us to forget what he said in this one.

you know what a clown is? a "columnist" who can't distinguish between "your" and "you're"

In this new article he still brings up mostly illegal and questionable use cases for bitcoin, trying to give himself an image not being completely lacking understanding of bitcoin in the past, but like he knows all about it, but still doubting, and covering his back for the future when bitcoin could go mainstream, so that he could later say that he hadn't completely written it off. Nice try, Joe, but you could do better than that Smiley In short, I am not convinced, he still is on agenda to discredit bitcoin, but this time not by depicting its users as clowns, but now as shady characters. So, just a change of tactics on his part.

towards the end he was talking about how centralized/government backed currencies are better, because its value doesn't fluctuate as much  Cheesy

Yes, it's that guy who previously declared that bitcoin is a joke.

First of all, it's wrong to say that Bitcoin has no value. There's prima facie evidence that this is untrue.
