No mention of bitcoin

For the last few weeks it seems it doesn't matter if bitcoin is mentioned, whether the posts follows the guidelines posted at the top or anything else in the Press area.  I think Jeff and the other mods just gave up.

It seems like no one cares and it seems that consequently the Press section is becoming less useful since it is no longer "Notable press hits" with any type of consistency in the format.  ;-)

Or have a separate press section for Bitcoin related press that do not mention Bitcoin. There is little doubt in my mind that a credit / debit card hack of this magnitude will have an impact on Bitcoin far greater than many Bitcoin articles.

There are forums with the specific purpose of discussing issues related to Bitcoin. This is not one of them.

Actually this discussion should move to meta. Maybe the mods can take a look at this.

So about 23% of the US total population, nearly 30% of the US adult (over 18) population, and about 60% of US households are impacted.

How many more times will something like this happen before security is taken seriously?

Just gets worse and worse. No compromise of Bitcoin accounts has ever been close to this credit and debit card scandal. Of course this could never happen with bitcoin payments because they are far superior in security as we all know, not leaving your vital private info in the hands of the banks, payment processors and retailers  Wink

(that thumbs down is for the mainstream banking and payment system, not the almighty BTC obviously  Grin )
