I'm sure any preorders will be delivered in "two weeks".

Why do people still trust this company? Are they really that stupid?

I pre-ordered a Trezor, that is why I'm interested in a comparison.
And as long as you can buy them off the shelve and the wallet is secure, I do not see a problem with ordering from BFL. I also prefer other companies compared to BFL and will not recommend to pre-order from BFL given their past track record. But in the end the more hardware wallets available the better.

An inexpensive, easy to use and secure bitcoin hardware wallet is an important step for mass adoption of bitcoin.

Agreed. But it doesn't have to be $20 to start - I would pay $50 or more no problem for something that helped me keep my bitcoins secure. Price would come down naturally very quickly.

Nope I'm with you on that one - Could see them doing something dumb like using a bad RNG.

Those cards are tempting now that I hear they can be ran externally on a USB Port, But if you order right now, you're not getting them until Next Year at the earliest.

How exactly will bitsafe boradcast a signed transaction? usb cable? bluetooth? wifi? 4G?

They mentioned bluetooth, although their prototype shown in the video seems to be USB only. With bluetooth it could pair with your smartphone over the air. Wifi or 4G would draw too much power, it would cause a battery lifetime issue in that form factor. The hardware wallet looks like the size of a credit card. If that the case, it's not only a technical detail, it's a statement.

The hardware wallet looks very interesting; I think a good hardware wallet will really help Bitcoin become mainstream as a form of cash.

Hardware wallets are the future baby!
