Hmm... I think it will take a few weeks before we hit the $1,000 mark again. LTC is still holding at 0.025-0.030 levels.

I think it'll be a while unless we get some big news. I'm not that really concerned with the $1000 price anymore, I just want more merchant adoption.

Currently trading @ $937 at Gox. The US arrests has hit the currency quite hard.

I don't understand why news like this has such an impact on the price?

Just idiots panic selling on the whiff of any negative news.

Why is gox so expensive, and the gap is increasing suddenly between gox and the rest of the exchanges?

Why aren't the other exchanges keeping up with gox?

MTgox price is misleading and the $ value there is lower than the actual $ since you can't get it out. the actual average should be bitcoinaverage amount excluding MTGOX.

Getting pretty insane how much more expensive bitcoins are on gox than other exchanges.  Alsmost $200 cheaper on bitstamp currently.

I wonder if it's a bad thing that a lot of media outlets will focus on the price cause new bitcoin users to flock to mtgox only to get left with a bad taste in their mouth when they realize they can't get their money out.

The media are useless and are only good at creating mass hysteria for no reason, that's what they're trying to do with Bitcoin and why they're trying to target the price, either the Bitcoin price will start stabalising or we'll just get use to it and think nothing of it because they're slowly running out of things to attack it on.
