Hit $120 on BTC-e yesterday. Whoever sold made a serious mistake. The hysteria is over. Bitcoin is not doomed, or even flawed beyond what the developers already understood. I'm sure we haven't seen the bottom, but I wouldn't bet on anything below $500.

Hmm.. saw it yesterday. Someone dumped 15,000+ BTCs in a few minutes.

Is the Bitstamp freeze confirmed? If it is true, then BTC can go below $300... or even up to $100.

Grin Yes, but I already spent all my fiat on the exchange, and new bank transfer takes days!

Yep using transaction ID for tracking coins is like tracking people based on Phone records and spoofing callerID its not useful to prove ANYTHING!
if works as long anybody using it in good faith and playing by the rules , witch makes it USELESS for cases like law enforcement, or any serous forensic proof....
it the transaction ID could be trusted without confirmations , confirmations would not have been needed in the first place!!
The good thing is that it can be easely fixed and will be fixed!
But the have to let go the possibility that they can track every bitcoin transaction person to person.
because btcoin transaction are like one big  Thimblerig
game! you see everything but without the proper context you see NOTHING Smiley

The exchanges took a risk by not using full protection , in favour of the possibility tracking and blocking/reversing transaction.
this time to control and track was now used as exploit to get more bitcoins.
Solution payout and wait for 6 confirmations  https://btc-e.com/ is doing this correctly!
