Is that KY next to the cat on the right-side, and Valium in the bottle on the left?

He might need that KY when the law catches up to him. And even if it doesn't, he'll still gonna get fucked one way or another  Grin.

Skoupi the Great
... confirmed over an online chat with a keyboard and a cat as proof, lol.

I don't think it was meant as a proof. Most probably it was yet another random move from MK.

Well, it is Karpeles' workstation.

I've always pronounced it Mount .

Now we have to pronounce it...

M
T
.

Em Tee Period (Empty Period)

JK...

He said, "The plan/draft", was more or less accurate...

He also said, "The document (numbers)", were not an internal Gox document...

The "numbers" were not part of the plan. That was a separate thing, thrown in with "the plan" by the reporter.

He also said... "it isn't gone", we just don't have access to it. (Not sure if that was reference to money, or BTC, or both. Frozen assets, pending an investigation? Crashed/locked computer with cold-wallet storage information... ?)

Gox doesn't only have USD to trade. The document would have had every form of money traded, listed. It also would not have estimated money, but then specifically nailed exact BTC. It is fake. 100%. There is no truth, more or less, to the numbers. The drafted plan was the only thing resembling any reality. It was a plan discussed a long time ago. It was not confidential information. It was just ONE proposal, sitting on a shelf.

2bit-idiot is 6bits-shy and 56bits-short. Still does't have a full deck of cards in his/her hand.

I am sure the name (2bit-idiot) the one who released the fake data... was a direct knock at K, for possibly calling that hack, a "2bit-idiot". I would not doubt if that was the person responsible for trying to tap-out gox's BTC accounts. An x-employee, with access to the original draft, and knowledge about the tx-system, having dealt with many returns, seeing the exploit happen, then went out and figured out how to do it himself/herslef. After being called a "2bit-idiot".

Hmmmm…. the 'Mt.' bit of 'Mt.Gox' has always caused confusion between those who know the origin (Magic the Gathering Online Exchange) and those that don't, who tend to call it 'Mount Gox' (case in point, BBC reporter last night).

Hence Mt.Gox is commonly abbreviated to 'Gox' - and phrases like 'being Goxxed' have evolved. So 'GOX.com' is hardly a rebrand is it? I'm not a marketing professional but if Mark is trying to rise phoenix-like from the ashes of Mt.Gox by calling his 'new' exchange simply 'GOX' then he's even more of a fool than I ever imagined.

The brand 'Gox' is irretrievably tainted, not just by the bitcoiner community but even the general public. He'd be better off with a completely new name - maybe Frappucino or Cupcake or something (sorry) - if he wants to continue the business in an executive capacity.

I've always pronounced it Mount . I honestly don't know what good rebranding will do or why people would take the chance of using it and anything Mark touches will be forever tainted like you said.

Banks and governments don't cause one to "lose" hundreds of thousands of bitcoins.

But they sure provide a very convenient scapegoat if one wants to hide the "loss" of over 740000 BTC from a community with a strong libertarian component.

Regulatory pressure has been a big problem for Mt. Gox according to Karpeles:

“The pressure we got from banks and governments make things very hard”

So suddenly it's not the malleability?

I don't think it ever was, and if it was they were aware of the malleability problem and chose not to act even when they were told to by devs. In their defence though they have had a hard time from banks and governments, but that shouldn't excuse their shoddy business practices and behaviour.

I haven't read the documents yet as I suspected they were fake or was waiting for verification, but from what I've read from others this isn't good. Gonna see what they say now.
