“We take a lot of risk as early stage investors, but we don’t take that kind of risk,” he said, referring to regulatory risk.
And Clavier doesn’t think he’s missing huge returns in the bitcoin space by waiting on the sidelines. “If it’s really as transformative and big as people have been talking about, there will be extremely valuable companies built over the next few years,” he said. “So you don’t need to rush and put all your chips on the table.”
