No mention of Richard Branson?  Shocked He's mentioned Bitcoin several times and even accepts them for flights on Virgin Galactic.

Somehow they missed out his name. He should have been on the top of the list. Richard Branson was/is one of the biggest supporters of Bitcoin, but I am not sure whether he still supports it.

I wouldn't say he's one of the biggest supporters. Apart from accepting them for Virgin Galactic he seems to be pretty quiet on the subject.

As much as I would love to have Nas into bitcoin, he isn't. He gave money to firms that just happen to invest in coinbase, I doubt he even knows what a bitcoin is. So this is false, and bad research on coindesk's part.

No one puts their money in to an investment without getting the details on how the money will be spent. So he must have heard about Bitcoins, its potential risks and the exchange rates.

Gweedo is probably right. Rappers like Nas usually just look to put their money into something on the back of advice from whoever it is helping them to get a bit richer. He may know some of the details about the company but I'd be sceptical. It's probably more a matter of his business or investment partner/manager just saying hey, this company looks like it could be one of the next big things, want to invest? I'd be pleasantly surprsie if Nas was into or aware of Bitcoin or invested in off his own intuition though.

A Great Time to Start Something!
Not my list of personal favorites, but still a great sign that BTC is gaining wider usage.

I think they're casting the net quite wide and stretching the definition of 'talking' about Bitcoin here. A few of them have only briefly mentioned bitcoin or probably made the one joke about it on twitter. Though of course I'm all for any celebrities mentioning it in whatever way as long as it's not really slanderous or ignorantly negative.

The important thing is that even if they make stupid jokes about Bitcoin in Twitter or other social media outlets, millions of people will notice it. Right now, I'll say that any sort of publicity is good for Bitcoin.

Yeah, I mentioned in another thread somewhere that all these celebrity twitter users have hundreds of thousands if not millions of followers and it's all exponential exposure for Bitcoin at the end of the day, but that list does make some very tenuous connections haha.

An inch at a time, if they are posting about bitcoin only because someone whose opinion they respect is telling them about bitcoin that's enough.

I was beginning to wonder if I were alone in my thoughts about decentralized security until I read Kutcher mention it.
