Sad to say this, but unfortunately the IQ levels of the people who are working in the United States Defense Department has come down significantly ever since the 1990s. They should be spending their time and money to take on the Al Qaeda cells which are now active in every part of the world, rather than spending them to take down something noble like Bitcoin.

Bitcoin: The People's Bailout
Retired Admiral Mike Mullen has already identified the biggest threat to the USA.  There's no reason for the DoD to start demonizing Bitcoin, which is an inanimate payment system and currency.  Bitcoin will likely be one of the lifeboats that will save us from the coming calamity.  Perhaps the DoD should refocus their attention on Congress.

... as the DoD investigated Android, Motorola, social media and virtual reality as terrorist threats in the past too.

Bitcoin can only benefit from that. The more people get involved, learn and really understand the technology, the more will make efforts to get involved personally.

The US Defense Department is conducting a counterterrorism program investigation of virtual currencies like Bitcoin and other new technologies, including smartphones and social media, to better understand if they pose security threats.

“The introduction of virtual currency will likely shape threat finance by increasing the opaqueness, transactional velocity, and overall efficiencies of terrorist attacks,” the memo stated.

The largest security threat to the US resides in the White House.
