If they were worth their salt, they'd realize that going forward businesses will be able to offer discounts (RE: coupons to most people) for using BTC as the payment method. Sooooo...the question should've been:
Would you use BTC to get 2-5% off the store price of said good? Guaranteed that a majority would be willing to do so w/o even thinking any further about the situation. Damn near every woman has a store discount card on their keychain, fact.

Good point it sort of reflects Bitcoins current user demographic where there is a small but dedicated user base and the mainstream usage is still a ways off.
The adoption is getting there though but slowly but surely is still progress
