★☆★ 777Coin - The Exciting Bitco
Particularly bothersome that the crowdfunding site they are using doesn't seem to have any sort of verification-type information on the people whose projects they are listing.  Red flags for me.

Should we count the red flags?

---------------------------
8. Asking price is not appealing for any of the rewards
---------------------

Funny, I was thinking offering a printer to anyone pledging 0.3 BTC was a suspiciously attractive price. But you're right, I don't see any reason to trust these folks.

The 3d printing space is full of tiny startups, that just might be the case here. Doesn't mean at all that is a scam or vaporware.

I feel like this might be bollocks

Looking at the website, I hate to say it, but you are probably right.

Should we count the red flags?
1. Not really any other projects on that website
2. Website is brand new with no reputation or credentials
3. Project creator is brand new, no reputation or credentials
4. Generic looking prototype model could be any $100 kit from China
5. Project creator is from Southeast Asia, and not Japan or South Korea
6. Project itself is allegedly being manufactured in China
7. Financial goal is outrageous for what is basically a kit of a printer
8. Asking price is not appealing for any of the rewards
9. Project description was very badly written, sometimes this works well for an artist but never for an engineer
10. Production plan for manufacturing is incomplete at best

I have been studying crowdfunding for a few months every day. This thing looks like one of the most obvious scams I've seen yet. If not, then they need a new campaign manager or this thing will never see the light of day. It's also possible that they are just skimming, where they don't even try to get the project funded all the way since they are just going make one gigantic pledge at the very end and just collect whatever pennies some fool will throw their way.

Let's recap:

1. Could be vaporware scam, stolen photographs and everything
2. Could be real product but they don't actually need any more money, just skimming for pennies.
3. Could just be two clueless engineers who have absolutely no style of taste.

My overall assessment: Pfff

"Bitcoin and 3D Printing, Probably two of the most exciting technologies of our time.  While Bitcoin promises to change the way the world transacts with one another, 3D printing promises to change the way the world manufactures.  One Chinese company, 1-we-3WeiBao Robot Technology Co., ltd, is using both of these new technologies within their business plan."

Nice combination, especially for high-risk, forward-looking investors...
