Not really directly linked to them being involved, only Bitcoin Foundation member, allegedly involved.

Why would the Bitcoin foundation members, be involved in MtGox hack? It would surely be counter productive, to hurt the entity, that is paying your salary?

It seems as though I am missing the bigger picture. Huh

The article does make a good point about being able to buy reputation from TBF. Yet another conflict of interest and a potentially dangerous thing for bit coin users.

I assume "second biggest member" refers to the companiy's Gold level donor status.
The whole thing is misleading.

The hack refers to the release of internal data from Mt Gox after the site shut down and no information was being released to the public and purported to show suspicious account activity.  The hack was generally lauded by the bitcoin community.

The hack was traced to a company which paid a fee to become a Gold member of the Bitcoin Foundation. So what?
