It's challenging it's predecessor "Ripple" not Bitcoin. 
And yes, they giving some away, when you link it on Facebook. {5000 per facebook account it seems} I do not know about the pre mine though.
So many ScamCoins doing the rounds, you never know, until it's too late and you invested a lot.

Well I think it's got to be heavily premined because where else will they be getting all these coins to give away? And most alts are scam coins in some way or another so id just leave all of them alone.
