I think people said the "kinda creepy" about using CPR (bringing people back from the dead) or various transplants too. "You have a dead guy's heart?!?!?!?" :-)
Eventually I bet people will look at it like antibiotics, CPR, organ transplants as a way to preserve someone's life until they are at a medical facility that can help - e.g. from a car accident to a trauma center that is miles away they cool people down to stop or slow functions, or temporally far away from a cure for whatever the disease is.
People used to say it was "fate" when they died and they wouldn't fight it, but antibiotics help postpone death, chemo, surgery, CPR etc. People use those and don't think about it as anything but normal now.
If you are buried or cremated, your chances of being able to have your health issue repaired are zero. His are greater than zero, who knows what they are though.
