I would not get to excited: like with oil, as long as it exists, nobody seriously will use electric cars. The same here, large corporations and government will not embrace cryptos any time soon.

If it's not cryptocurrencies that are the future it will be a type of digital currency that will be influenced by bitcoin. I think it's inevitable that money will go this way but I cant see governments wanting to give up control, so they will probably still issue them unfairly.

Sounds like crypto's will be a hot topic at the upcoming Swift International Banking Operations Seminar (Sibos) in Boston from 29th September to 2nd October 2014.
