They probably can find ways to block connections to the networks. If a country wants to ban it, it will go underground.

They can 'ban' it's use, but obviously people can and will still use it, but what they'll do is throttle it and make it against the law to use, which is not what we want. We want to be able to spend it freely on things we wish to purchase and governments banning it would be a big blow to adoption.
They don't seem too bothered about taxing other illegal things that they could easily legalize.
Governments will never learn. When you try ban something that people obviously want it only pushes the activity underground and creates a lucrative market for 'criminals' to make a lot of money from it.

Its impossibleto to ENFORCE a ban.
Because al bans a based on lose of live basicly , but if the systemis set upin a way killing the user doesnot matter , the system can not be stoped,
bacause all state power is based on SINGLE point of failure ....

and if it grows russia will use it to bypass any sanctions.

It's certainly futile for to do, but it wont stop them from trying. Just look at how many piracy sites get blocked but they are easily accessible just by quickly googling a proxy. Of course there's always tor as well. It certainly will be interesting to see in the near future which governments try to ban it and how. Hopefully non will be as stupid, but I'm sure there will be at least one.
