Bids were sealed for both auctions.

Certain people must know the bids. And every winner knows the winning bid.

Was the price paid by the buyers equal to the lowest successful bid? I don't think so...
So even a winner might only be able to guess a range for the maximum and minimum successful bids.

Anyone who wants to discredit Bitcoin and who has access to the auction pricing would leak it, if prices were below market.

"Confirmed participants in Thursday's auction included Binary Financial, Bitcoin Investment Trust, Bitcoins Reserve, Mirror (formerly Vaurum) and Pantera Capital."

Do we know the sale prices yet, or will there be some time before that info is released?

I don't believe the sale price was ever made public in the previous auction.  That will likely be the case for this one as well.

Venture Capitalist Tim Draper Wins Small Piece of Bitcoin Auction

http://dealbook.nytimes.com/2014/12/05/venture-capitalist-tim-draper-wins-small-piece-of-bitcoin-auction/?_r=0

When the United States Marshals Service opened its second Bitcoin auction on Thursday, some bidders were not optimistic about their chances. After all, a single bidder had won all of the nearly 30,000 Bitcoins in the government’s first auction in June, leaving the rest of the participants discouraged.

But the Bitcoin king of June ended up just a bit player today. On Friday, the venture capitalist Timothy C. Draper, the first auction’s sole victor, said he had won just one block of 2,000 Bitcoins, a fraction of the 50,000 the Marshals Service had put up for sale. Mr. Draper bid on behalf of his venture firm, Draper Associates.

Looks like there weren't enough bitcoins to satisfy everybody's appetite.  Smiley

They actually said they split the bitcoins up into blocks for sale this time and did not put them all together like last time. It will be interesting when it leaks who won the other 48,000
