it's probably an inside job - who's the insider?!  I guess it's rather obvious.

Yeah, why isn't it being stated that there's a good chance Mark did this himself?

It seems pretty obvious to me that Mark did it. I'd give that the highest probability of any other explanation.

Even the investigators find how the missing bitcoin happened, I still fully doubt the customers will get full refund from MtGox.

I doubt very much the coins are missing he's waiting for the case to blow over get charged what ever he gonna get charged and go bankrupted and then start playing with the stolen Bitcoins that a lot of people have already seen that in some cases the funds are their but in dormant wallets. Just like the time they made a post claiming they had found a dormant wallet with x amount of BTC in it and said will use to refund to mt gox customers but I doubt much will become of it.

Aha, so he finally found a scapegoat, that's why he was looking so calm and smug on camera.

Yomiuri Shimbun exclusive

"Among about 650,000 bitcoins that went missing from failed Mt. Gox’s exchange system, about 7,000 bitcoins, or only about 1 percent of the total, were lost due to cyber-attacks and it is highly suspected that the remaining 99 percent disappeared after the system was fraudulently operated by an unknown party, according to sources in the Metropolitan Police Department.

The missing amount — about 650,000 bitcoins — is worth about ¥24.7 billion as of Wednesday.

The MPD is currently investigating Mt. Gox, suspecting a person who is familiar with the exchange system may have misappropriated bitcoins of the company’s customers."
