Great article, I think that many of us can relate to Antonopoulos' experiences. We've worked for income and hoped that our efforts are not too damaging to society. Bitcoin allows us to strive for enabling society instead. No wonder the rush of developers.

Bumping this because I got the date wrong at first. This is a brand new article about the early life in Greece and decentralized networks of Andreas Antonopoulos. It is amazing how all the random threads of his experiences have tied together perfectly wrapped around bitcoin.

“I’m broke, but I’m happier than I’ve ever been.” - A. Antonopoulos

Wow, this guy has really been through a lot over the years of his life, and bitcoin seems to be the ultimate manifestation of everything he has ever worked towards. Truly an amazing man of integrity and intelligence, and this interview seems to go quite a bit deeper into his personal history than any that I have seen thus far. Let me know what you think of the man, the myth, and perhaps we can finally give this guy a proper nickname.

Is he the Socrates of Bitcoin?
