I found a post with company details, which then leads to a link where you can even find the owner (assuming the company registration information was legitimate).

Dear ,
We never said that we are from USA, we said that we are operating from Canada.

You can check our incorporation detail here :

https://www.ic.gc.ca/app/scr/cc/CorporationsCanada/fdrlCrpSrch.html

Please  look for skycoinlab.

Corporation Number: 895044-0
Business Number: 842120180RC0001

As we have explained, your ref did abuse our debit card system.

Thank you

I check this website on archive.org and it seems it's not a pool where you can mine it's a cloud mining site.

Based on my experience around that year most of the cloud mining sites are scams even right now 99% of them are scams.
Whois still shows address but I don't think if it's a real address of this company.

Code:
Street:Main St. Suite 1120
City:Cambridge
State:MA
Postal Code:02142
Country:US

So I don't think you have a chance to get or recover your husband's wallet from that site.

Yes, I saw that profile and was hoping someone knows if he is the same entity or even vouch for him.
I can't dm him as it says he doesn't accept messages from new users.

But yes, probably lost cause. Lucky to be alive but I have to know I tried as it extra annoying with everything that happened.

Thank you again for your answers!

The website is dead, and storage that could contain some information such as a wallet backup has been lost - which means there's nothing you can do about it. If by any chance the profile posted by @Little Mouse is still under the control of the real owner and he is a very honest person who still has access to the database, then he could check that information and compare it with your email address.

However, after so many years, you can hardly expect someone to be so honest as to return something that is worth about 50 times more today than in 2014. Of course, most of such ventures have proven to be scams, and it is possible that this company is no exception.

As I can see there's a profile of skycoinlab in bitcointalj forum- https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/skycoinlab-288206
He seems to be the official person and he was active on 09 December 2021. This is very possible that original owner has access to this account but also, don't forget that forum was hacked in 2015. So, be aware while having financial transaction.

Hello guys,

I think my husband used this service skycoinlab.com a very long time ago (2014ish) for mining
Then I almost died on the same day we were moving flats and in the mess of events the physical storage was lost.
He doesn't have any recovery phrase that we can find but he has access to his email he used then.

The website is dead but I see lots of mentions on this forums thought I might as well ask even if it is 99% a wild goose chase

Does anyone have any advice on tracking it?
And thank you of course...
