Well, I see no issue in them offering the third option (mainly because probably no one will activate that option, lol).

But it's sneaky because the way they worded it, the third option (cloud mining) becomes the default method of "refund" if BFL doesn't hear back. So they probably are trying to catch people who don't reply within a certain time frame and give BFL an excuse to not refund but instead provide their cloud mining.

In a nutshell, it's another shady, scammy practice by BFL.

I'm very glad I got my refund and I'm done with that company and their deceit and dishonest practices forever.

Well, I see no issue in them offering the third option (mainly because probably no one will activate that option, lol). It's kind of irrelevant if they offer cloud mining or not, if they have to option for BTC and fiat refund.

The question now is: do they have the funds to refund customers? I'm starting to doubt they do. Will everyone be "Butterfly'd" for a second time?

Butterfly Labs is one of the more infamous name in the world of Bitcoin and digital currency. As Butterfly Labs (BFL) was a Bitcoin ASIC manufacturing company, they managed to become a big name in the mining space back when ASIC’s were only just hitting the market. However, after missing deadline after deadline, and eventually scamming a ton of users out of their pre-order funds, the company faced legal trouble and had to shut down. To this day, pre-order funds is still being returned to customers, albeit in a rather fishy way by the looks of things.
