All paid signature campaigns should be banned.
Simple, its all about the civil asset forfeiture.  In many cases they never charge the person with a crime - they just keep the stuff they take, auction it off and then use their ill gotten gains to buy margarita machines for the sheriff's department.  See:

I have not been able to find out.  Was he ever actually charged with anything?

Probably another casino felt threatened and pulled the strings.

I still can't understand why anyone would send a swat team to someone's house, knowing he operates a registered business, has a family and owns a property. We aren't talking about some terrorist, they should have just order him to come to a hearing in court, especially that he was just a suspect and they had nothing on him at the time of the arrest.

Simple.  Intimidation.

There are lots of thugs in government at various levels and these are corporate pimps.  If you google Oligarchy US you will find near the top of the list a study that was printed in a peer reviewed journal, a team from, I think it was Yale, found that the US is indeed an oligarchy, not a democracy, or republic anymore, and the way that they define that was by how public policy in nearly every case goes the way of corporate interests, and most of the time it is against the will of the public.  And basically anyone who is not a corporate pimp is an enemy of the state, in their view.

Five minute video where Bryan Micon (Chairman of Seals With Clubs) talks about the armed raid on his home to serve a warrant from the Nevada Gaming Commission. He says  they broke down his door while his wife and 2-year-old were present and that he was led out in handcuffs in his underwear and they confiscated his computer equipment and that he was not charged with any crime. Video was shot in Antigua and he says SWC 2.0 will re-open soon.

FWIW, I have played at SWC and found it to be a very reputable company. The speed with which they processed payouts speaks volumes about their company compared to some shadier companies operating in the online poker space. I look forward to them reopening.
