When GoDaddy got kicked from the Superbowl, their exposure went from normal Superbowl commercial to the most successful commercial in history measured in footprint/views.  Their commercial was rebroadcast internationally, multiple times daily for months.  Ostensibly all for free.  So, while this St Petersburg thing could be good for bitcoin/BitPay, there's probably not enough sexual content with the story to get on the air.

The way forward:
1. Fabricate some sort of animal rights controversy involving the potential death of a cute animal (like savetoby.com when the animal rights groups blasted GoDaddy's name all over the news)
2. Get into a harmless sex scandal with pics on television.  Only then can BitPay own the world.

That would be hilarious if it wasn't so true.

Still sad to see the Bitcoin bowl die so young though.

Why is the Bitcoin Bowl no more?

http://fortune.com/2015/04/02/bitcoin-bowl/

Neither side is talking about the abruptly ended sponsorship, but it likely has to do with the value of the game, and the value of bitcoin.

Say goodbye to the Bitcoin St. Petersburg Bowl.
