Just thought I'd mention that today I saw on CNBC the exact report about Paypal splitting with Ebay and there was no mention of Bitcoin in it, so I suspect that this is overhyped bullshit as usual, until you see a deposite Bitcoin option on your paypal account don't post this stuff up.

Again an article that doesn't say anything new. We already knew this. The market shows that by not responding to this "news".

PayPal, WallStreet, and so on. I only believe it if they really start to make it happen. If not, then it's just one of the many attempts to draw cheap attention.

Is this actually fucking real or another form of click bait by Paypal to try and get people interested in them again? Please post more than one source for this kind of thing.

Ha. It would be huge if Paypal do start accepting it somehow but I won't believe it until I actually see it happen.

“A merchant can typically open a standard PayPal account and begin accepting payments through PayPal within a few minutes. Most online or mobile merchants can onboard quickly and are not required to invest in new or specialized hardware. Our Payments Platform supports growth with a variety of value-added services designed to help businesses of all sizes manage their cash flow, invoice clients, pay bills, and reduce the need for merchants to receive and store sensitive customer financial information. For our standard service, we do not charge merchants setup or recurring fees. A merchant can also integrate with Braintree to begin accepting payments with credit or debit cards, PayPal, Venmo, digital currencies such as Bitcoin, or other payment solutions with a single integration.”

Seems like you'll have to use Braintree (whatever that is) but I guess its good enough and a step in the right direction.

Got to give it to Braintree for bringing all the different payment options under one roof. I would actually like to test their platform out sometime.

This could be considered an official document right?

It's being discussed in a few places now. Looks like a good thing - at least for those still waiting on PayPal to step it up, but for now isn't it still just the same old announcement we heard from Braintree back in that TechCrunch conference?
