Whoa, I wish we had banks offering instant transfers. Do you have higher fees for this type of transaction?

What trading features does Coinbase offer at the moment? They are not offering futures / margin trading so far, right?

Nope it doesn't cost a penny. Only UK to UK of course. If you want to send internationally then it costs and takes time.

For this reason the arrival of Coinbase changes absolutely zilch.

Until they get a UK bank account and access to FPS (permanently, not just for two weeks until they piss the bank off) this really isn't particularly a game-changer.

They bank in Estonia, requiring SEPA. Domestic UK transfers are instant with FPS, when (not if) coinbase get a UK bank on board, I would personally switch from Stamp in a heartbeat.

Well it was due, the growing amount of Bitcoin users in the UK market should be treated with some response from top services. It seems that Coinbase has finally decided to step into her majesty's community.

bitcoin has always been branded as a great way to transfer money internationally.  This will certainly help users to use to same platform now overseas.  They seem to be doing a great job taking it slow and steady, and will really benefit bitcoin in the long run.

Will it be open to resident's in the EU, since UK is a member state of the EU? (As a non-UK resident it is possible to open a bank account in UK, when you have a residence in the EU.)

It's about time that Coinbase opens up in the UK to give them the easy experience that Americans have had. Pretty sure this is the easiest option for buying, holding and selling throughout the world. 2 factor authorization option as well which is a must imo.
