This lowlife stole some $600 million from hardworking and innocent people. Tens of thousands of people lost their life savings. Many dozens of them committed suicide, or were driven to the verge of suicide. He tarnished the reputation of Bitcoin beyond repair. It will take years for Bitcoin to recover from the damage caused by Mt Gox.

And after all this..... he wants to advice us on Bitcoin exchanges.

you know the saying.... it takes one to know one.

Maybe he can spot his kind easier than any of us?

But really what he meant was pretty much ALL the chinese exchanges..... LOL am i surprised? NOPE, not one tiny bit. Sadly i did try to warn members on here and got ignored.

I am not saying that we should trust these exchange sites. We should not. 99% of those who create Bitcoin ventures are cons and cheaters. That said, Mark Karpeles doesn't have the moral authority to give advice to any of us. In his case, a proverb comes true. "Everything looks yellow to a jaundiced eye".  Grin

Quote
When we last saw Mark Karpeles, the former CEO of collapsed Bitcoin exchange Mt. Gox, he was bowing deeply for forgiveness after having lost millions of dollars’ worth of Bitcoin.

Since then, he has been the subject of allegations in the Silk Road case that he was the real “Dread Pirate Roberts,” the pseudonymous head of the black market site, and revealed as the missed target in a bungled U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration investigation into the collapse of the world’s largest crypto exchange.

In fact, Karpeles has yet to be formally charged in either matter. Nor it seems has he quit the Bitcoin world.
