This story is exactly the same as what's happening in the series "Silicon Valley".

Except that this time, we don't know who is telling the truth,  Hooli (Lemon) or Pied Piper (Xapo).

So happy never used their system or their sites wallet service. People jump on to the next craze and end up in so much trouble and problems. People need to be more careful when places open o public. Since the days of mt gox going under have been super careful on what sites I now use due to so many popping up then having problems or getting lawsuits against their company for wrong doings or things that are not quite legal. Ill stick to using bittrex  btc-e and localbitcoin for now.

Something fishy here. If I remember correctly, Xapo recently moved their operations to Switzerland as they were under severe pressure in the United States to share user data with the FBI. And now they are facing a lawsuit... just reminds me of the recent arrests of FIFA officials in the US, after they refused to move the 2018 World Cup out of Russia.

Sad story. In simple words Casares is a thief if true.

It would be a shameful tragedy if Xapo went down due to alleged misconduct by C as they're the biggest holder of bitcoin in the world, or so I've heard. I had no idea that life lock was getting into the crypto leagues.
