I like farm satoshi, I admit that you'll never get rich playing it - but its fun to play, and for me  - I use it to pay for my transaction fees and build up a no-risk capital for some small trades with alt coins that I'm experimenting with.

Wait... What?
I make atleast 10 cents a day off this and animals are doing all the work lol Cool. You people are crazy paranoid .
I wish Direct Deposit Started working again, im forced too use Xapo... you need decent livestock too make it worth your while.
FarmSatoshi makes its money threw on-line advertising so please keep your add-block off . (allot of adds)

Farmsatoshi is old news......
This is like faucets. Not worth the time. You may be making 10c a day off these games. You would probably make more in a single post in a signature campaign (once you reach member status).

But for someone who still on newbie status (like me when i wrote this reply) and still trying to climb up one level to Junior, signature campaign definitely is not an option yet. Hence, playing faucets would be one of the few only reasonable way to gain tiny btc while waiting for that stat to come up. Unless... there are any other way?  Huh

10 cents is not entirely worthless. For that money, you could buy a can of beer in Venezuela.  Grin

That said, for people who are addicted to these sort of games (I am talking about guys who spend 12 hours a day or more playing Mafia Wars, Farmville.etc), this could be a good side income. Once you reach higher levels, the earnings might increase.

unsure how it could be a ponzi as its 100% free

What sites like this seems to be doing, is this :

1. They create a website, where you play a game. { They create this system, where you buy virtual goods e.g. Chickens } They start you off, with the first FREE chickens.
2. If you want to upgrade or grow faster, you have to pay a FEE. {This enables bigger returns... Or that is what they want you to believe}
3. Your chickens lay eggs and you sell them to reach ROI or later a possible profit.
4. At first they pay you, when you sold your eggs {It creates a false trust relationship, to make you think that it's genuine.}
5. You think it's a paying site, so they hooked you, and you start to buy more chickens. {Invest more of your own money}
6. You also tell other people about this {Referral system} and it grows.
7. They pay for your eggs, with the investment from others.
8. At some stage the money coming in from NEW investors, does not cover the expense of paying for all the eggs.
9. They solve this, by selectively paying only for NEW players coming in.
10. They also use adverticement income on the website to pay for some of the eggs mentioned in point 9
11. At some stage, the income from the NEW players goes dry.
12. At this stage NOBODY gets paid, but the site still exist to get the income from the adverticement. {Lot's of people will still login daily to check if their payout was done}
13. Domain registration expire and the site is GONE forever.

Hope that gives you a idea, of what is done by some of these sites.

Once again, we are still investigating FarmSatoshi, to see if it's the same owner as Chickencoins or if it is the same type of concept. We will get back to you.  Wink

Don't worry. It is not a ponzi. But I'd like to advice you to stay away from it. Games like this one are just like those Bitcoin faucets. The rewards which we receive in the end are just not worth the effort we put in. You might need to waste 10 to 12 hours of your time, to earn just $5. It won't even pay the electricity and the broadband expenses.

I am still investigating this site, as a possible Ponzi. It is built with the same template, fonts, graphics as another site https://www.chickencoins.biz/ <--- This site stopped paying and are still running to milk the advertising income.

I have posted this in the other thread about this site, and it was deleted. {Self moderated thread}

This post would most probably also be deleted, so I am making a screen capture of the posting as proof. We are still doing some homework, but I would be cautious going into this for now.

We created several accounts to test this theory.

I for one cannot believe people would go through so much trouble to create a fantastic site like this, just to scam. It has so much potential to be a great site.

DISCLAIMER : This is just a theory, not a fact. The site could be 100% legit. I hope it is, and that it's not linked to chickencoins.

It would be much better as an app and obviously a higher payout, one app I found which if very addictive and has a decent enough payout rate along with a gambling aspect is flappybird, basically angry bird with the added bonus of earning some btc.

seems like any interesting game if you're into that whole 'farmville' type genre, but in terms of generating btc, you probably have to slave over it for a week to earn $1 worth

Ad maiora!
It keeps reloading the page on my mobile iOS. Needs to be an app. Couldn't look at the game so I can't tell you what I think and I don't actually trust it enough to open it without VM on my PC... But I will tell you, from watching SaruTobi that they ran into all sorts of problems getting approved by AppStore namely; you can't mislead the players, you have to make it very clear that the only btc they get is like a tip. I'll have a better look at this farmville jobby tomorrow.

As far as I know there are very few games that pay btc. SaruTobi this one and game of birds which I have yet to try.
Seems like there's a market for this sort of thing. And as long as it's profitable I guess we'll see more. How does the revenue work? I guess if game becomes popular one could do pretty well but do you need to give away btc if your game is that good? I think I've made about 50 cents from about 10 hrs of SaruTobi (I kinda like SaruTobi)

http://digitalmoneytimes.com/crypto-news/bitcoins-farmville-farmsatoshi-lets-you-earn-btc-while-playing-a-game/

Bringing Bitcoin  to the mainstream audience is not an easy task, due to various reasons and misconceptions regarding digital currency. One thing most people like to do is play mindless games on their computer or a mobile device, and several Bitcoin-related games exist in that niche. FarmSatoshi is one of those games, which could be labelled as the “Farmville of Bitcoin”.
