I wonder if this will help Ross' case in his retrial? Does anyone know how the agents were caught? I'd bet that they're not the first agents to steal someones bitcoins and they certainly wont be the last.

“Mr. Bridges has regretted his actions from the very beginning,” Bridges’ lawyer, Steve Hale Levin said.

Pretty sad when we have examples like these in our authorities. He obviously had to say this, as it would probably be worse for him if he didn't. I'm waiting to see where this goes... More curious about this than with the main Silk Road case, actually.

Unfortunately we can't "decentralise" our authorities and make them run like our blockchain Smiley

In March of 2015, two federal agents who helped conduct one of the major investigations in the Silk Road case allegedly stole thousands in bitcoin confiscated from the online dark marketplace. The two agents, Shaun Bridges and Carl Force from the Drug Enforcement Administration and the U.S. Secret Service, were charged with several offenses including wire fraud and money laundering.
