I always pay fee and I paid 0.0002 for this transaction. It was not my first transaction with 0.5 BTC or higher. But I have never waited longer than 10 to 15 minutes.

I had to wait about 45 min to get first confirmation. It's a significant increase compared to a month ago, but i'm sure they'll fix it somehow and soon.
A year ago the same thing used to take 10 min!

Pay the fee and you won't have any problems. I just sent some BTC and paid the 0.0001 fee and it was confirmed in minutes.

Is the network still overloaded?

Just made a transaction, paid 0.001 fee and it was included in the next block, also received a transaction that was included in the next block with a 0.0003 fee, I guess I've overpaid. Cheesy

Max Keiser went and said something I thought was daft, that you have people out there ordering a smere campaign against Bitcoin.... Now however, I'm not so sure, I think now that Bitcoin is acting so stable in the middle of a crisis somebody is going to want to take it down.

i personally had some problems by sending 0.5 BTC to an exchange. it lasted over 5 hours until the transaction was confirmed. Now it works much faster again.

as long as people add at least 0.0001btc as fee people won't have to deal with waiting hours. if i want my tx to get included in the next block i add 0.0005btc as fee. that gets the job done.

Did a number of transactions today and had no delays whatsoever.

Sent each transaction with a 'Priority' fee (which was still next to nothing in monetary terms) and all were confirmed within minutes.

Yup, me too. Sent several transactions to gambling sites with a slightly higher than average fee, got my payments confirmed in minutes.

Bitcoin Network Still Backlogged With Tens of Thousands of Unconfirmed Transactions, Causing Delays

Over the past 24 hours, the blockchain has been inundated with small, spam-like transactions that are large in data size, but significantly small in bitcoin value transferred. At the peak, there were more than 50,000 unconfirmed transactions waiting to be mined into a block, resulting in delays for normal transactions to be confirmed.
